D.R. Ferroviaria Italia was founded in Albiano Magra, in the Province of Massa-Carrara, nearly thirty years ago and today represents the result of steady growth driven by entrepreneurial vision, professional expertise, and technical know-how. The company is made up of personnel with long-standing experience in the sector and is now one of Italy’s leading SMEs in the railway track (permanent way) field.
The continuous updating of technology, combined with the vast experience, ensures the client high professional skills for his project.
The Company Headquarters is spread over an area of approximately 14,000 square meters of which 1,500 square meters are utilized for the mechanical workshop specializing in the design and construction of standard & curved turnouts, standard & diamond crossings and whatever is necessary in order to optimize the area of the client’s factory or sidings ; for this reason our Technical Office provides consultancy, developing on cad-cam the type of crossing that best meet their needs and consequently begin with its manufacturing.
Over the years, D.R. Ferroviaria has delivered numerous high-profile projects, and consequently it is increasingly in demand for the construction of new track and railway projects both in Italy and abroad.
The company provides its services to both the public and private sectors, including major port facilities, refineries, coking plants, and railway tracks/sidings for freight traffic.
In addition to supplying the materials required for project execution, it also handles the disposal of waste materials and all activities related to the construction and installation of new tracks, including maintenance.
Personnel are continuously trained by the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP) on new workplace health and safety regulations and their practical application, so they can perform the required tasks in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree No. 81 of 9 April 2008.

D.R. Ferroviaria Italia has always adhered to a rigorous set of control procedures, complying with the strict requirements of its corporate Quality Management System and also ensuring design quality standards, thereby providing its clients with an additional level of oversight of working procedures.
It has obtained the prestigious UNI EN ISO 9001 quality certification, the result of years of strong commitment to compliance with working conditions and the continuous upgrading of specific tools and systems—such as hardware and software—which ensure meticulous execution across all types of activities, from administrative and accounting processes to on-site operations.
